Our story
Proposal management is one of those roles that everyone depends on but few people outside the profession truly understand. You're the person who turns a 200-page RFP into a coordinated response across a dozen subject matter experts, on a deadline that was already too tight when the opportunity landed on your desk.
In 2019, a group of proposal managers from across the government contracting and enterprise SaaS space started an informal Slack group to share war stories, templates, and career advice. Within months, it had grown beyond what anyone expected. ProposalExperts.org became a formal community in early 2020, and we haven't slowed down since.
What we believe
Proposals are a profession
Not a side task. Not an admin function. Proposal management requires deep expertise in strategy, writing, project management, and human coordination. We exist to elevate the profession.
Practitioners know best
Our resources, templates, and guides are created by working professionals, not consultants selling frameworks. The people doing the work set the standards.
Quality over quantity
We're invite-only because we've seen what happens to open communities. By keeping the bar high, we keep conversations valuable and our members engaged.
Give first
Our most active members are people who share generously — templates, feedback on drafts, career advice, introductions. Contribution is the norm here, not the exception.

Membership
ProposalExperts.org is an invite-only community. We do this intentionally — not to be exclusive for its own sake, but because the quality of our conversations, resources, and relationships depends on every member being a working professional who contributes to the community.
How to join
- Get a referral. The fastest path is a referral from a current member. Ask a colleague or connection if they're a member and can nominate you.
- Submit an application. If you don't know a current member, you can apply directly. We review applications monthly and look for active professionals in bid, proposal, capture, or BD roles.
- Admissions review. Our membership committee reviews each application. We're looking for relevant experience, not seniority — we welcome people at every career stage.
- Welcome aboard. Accepted members get access to all resources, forums, chapter events, and certification programs.
Membership tiers
Individual — $149/year
Full access to resources, forums, events, chapter membership, and certification discounts. For working professionals in proposal-related roles.
Student — $49/year
For full-time students or early-career professionals in their first 2 years in the field. Includes all individual benefits.
Corporate — $1,200/year
Up to 10 seats for your proposal team. Includes group certification discounts, priority event registration, and a dedicated chapter liaison.
Lifetime — $1,500
One-time payment for permanent membership. Available to PE-Pro certified members with 10+ years in the profession.
